General Monitors is pleased to welcome the addition of Gassonic A/S (Ballerup, Denmark), a worldwide leader in the manufacture of fixed ultrasonic gas leak detectors, to the General Monitors Family of Companies. Gassonic A/S was the first company to develop an ultrasonic gas leak detector and has over ten years experience in both offshore and onshore installations. They will operate as Gassonic, a General Monitors company.
The acquisition of Gassonic fits well with our aim to provide a full range of solutions modeled on the human senses. Detection technologies that “see”, “smell”, and now “hear” can combine to yield unsurpassed protection against gas leaks. Technology integration spreads the risk of detection failure across a larger number of sensing technologies; the greater the number of these independent and diverse technologies, the greater their effectiveness toward safeguarding personnel, capital equipment, and the environment.
The addition of ultrasonic gas leak detection technology expands our capabilities to offer the best solution to our customers for their total gas detection requirements.
