Job Description
Lead the design, development, and testing of micro-controller based fire and gas detection systems.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with one or more of the following
microcontrollers: Microchip dsPIC30F, TI TMS320F,
TI MSP430, Freescale 68HC11
Experience with one or more of the following
communication protocols:
- 4-20 mA analog output, Modbus, HART
Hands-on design engineer; adept at working with cross-
functional teams
Requirements
B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering
10+ years experience as a lead design engineer - analog,
digital and embedded systems

ability, capable of working within teams, and an excellent

Territory Sales Manager
Greater Chicago Area
Job Description
This position reports to the Director of North American Sales and is responsible for the sales activities of General Monitors products throughout the Midwest US. This is a team selling position within a well-established team. Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Increasing sales of General Monitors instruments to OGP
and industrial accounts, integrators, and engineering
houses
Spending 20% of time training/working with fixed gas instrument
manufacturers’ representatives in the region
Focusing 80% of selling time on end users/decision
makers at major end users, integrators, and engineering
houses
20-30% overnight travel will be required
Desired Skills and Experience
Demonstrated selling skills in selling fixed gas
instruments
Demonstrated technical skills of working with fixed gas
instruments and their environment
Proven ability to guide, mentor, and motivate Manufacturer
Representatives
Proven planning and organizational skills with the ability
to be both a self starter as well as work compatibly within
a team.
Demonstrated capabilities of exceeding sales and
profitability goals in seeking out new users for General
Monitors product
Strong organization, communication, interpersonal, and
management skills
Requirements
Minimum 2 years industrial selling experience
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in technical discipline;
experience in managing/selling through manufacturer's
representatives; and familiarity with General Monitors'
instruments and their customers

Senior Engineer / Project Manager, Systems
Job Description
Provide technical leadership and direction on new product
offerings, engineering standards, and practices. Manage the
design, programming testing, and project management of
integrated fire and gas detection systems.
Desired Skills and Experience
Design, build and test new electrochemical sensors for
gas detection.
Set-up and maintain electrochemical sensor R&D
laboratory and production facility.
Perform evaluation and testing of electrochemical
sensors
from external suppliers.
Lead support staff in electrochemical sensor research
and support production activities as required.
Help resolve customer and field related electrochemical
sensor issues.
Keep abreast of state-of-the art toxic gas and
combustible
gas sensing technologies.
Requirements
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical
experience.
Preferred specialization in industrial automation or
process control.
5 years relevant experience in design, fabrication,
programming of PLC based control systems.
Preferred experience with Fire and Gas Detection
technology and systems.
